Mr. Steve Young was elected to TCA's Board in 2023 for a 3-year term. Steve is a native of central Kansas and first came to Colorado to attend the Air Force Academy in 1998. He graduated from USAFA in 2002 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He and his wife Holly were married 2 days after graduation and began their adventures in the Air Force. Upon completion of their time in the AF, Steve & Holly decided that Colorado Springs was the best place to raise their kids and put down roots. Upon learning about TCA and its Core Values, they put both kids (a toddler and an infant) on the TCA waiting list for Kindergarten - and the rest is history! The TCA community is one of the best parts of living in Colorado Springs, and Steve is excited to serve as a member of the board.
Mr. Ben Brightwell was appointed to TCA’s Board in 2023 for a 3-year term. Upon returning to Colorado in 2020, Ben and his wife Maggie were thrilled to learn of TCA and the school's emphasis on the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness. Ben and Maggie have two kids at TCA: Sam and Grace, and the whole family loves cheering on the Titans at sporting events and enjoying the school's incredible concerts and performances. Ben graduated from Western Washington University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a minor in Business Administration, and then received his Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005. Ben is currently a partner at Burnham Law in Colorado Springs.

He and his wife, Hannah, have been married for 13 years and are proud parents of five children, three of whom currently attend East Elementary, with two more on the waitlist for Kindergarten.
Phillip first moved to Colorado Springs in 1997; his career in technology as an engineering program manager led him to spend five years in Texas, but he returned to Colorado Springs in 2022, largely motivated by the opportunity for his kids to attend TCA.
Nominated to fill a vacant seat on the board in August 2025, Phillip looks forward to collaborating with parents and the administration over the next two years of his term.
