Coach Wenger, Head Mens' Basketball Coach

Kevin was born and raised in north-central Ohio and attended Huntington University in Indiana, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Middle School Mathematics Education. Upon graduation, Kevin wandered over to southern Maryland where he began his teaching career and coaching career in Charles County. In 2011, Kevin met his best friend, Sarah, and followed her to Colorado Springs. Kevin and Sarah wed in 2012 and have been blessed with five wonderful children: Jordan, Lincoln, Quinton, Zola, and Winston. Kevin has coached men’s high school basketball for a total of 13 years. He spent 5 years coaching in Maryland at different sub-varsity levels and finished his time there as a varsity assistant. In his final year in Maryland, Kevin helped his North Point Eagles to a 27-0 record as they won the 4A State Championship to cap off the 2010-11 season. Kevin began his journey at TCA as the head JV coach and varsity assistant in 2011. He eventually took over as the men’s varsity head basketball coach at TCA in 2015. Kevin spent 3 years as the head coach before taking a 4-year hiatus to spend more time at home with his family. But in 2022, the job opened back up, and he was hired back on as the men’s basketball coach. In his first season back at the helm, Kevin was able to help the Titans reach the Great 8 for just the second time in school history on the men’s side. Kevin is honored and grateful to have the privilege of building meaningful relationships and serving in the TCA community as the men’s varsity basketball coach.
