Coach Gravelle is an avid, single digit handicap golfer with decades of playing experience. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy and served 29 years on active duty. He was an instructor pilot, taught math at the Air Force Academy after receiving an MS in Astronautical Engineering, flew combat rescue C-130 aircraft in Okinawa for three years, and completed his military career with Air Force Space Command at Peterson AFB, CO. Following his AF retirement, Coach Gravelle was an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Colorado Technical University for over ten years. He now greatly enjoys being the TCA Men’s and Women’s head golf coach and helping TCA by substitute teaching in Junior High and High School math. He is an Accredited Interscholastic Coach and has completed the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and the Colorado State Component, and the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Golf. He is also a Rules Official for the Colorado Golf Association having completed the rigorous 3 ½ day USGA/PGA workshop twice with high test scores. He has been TCA’s golf coach since the fall of 2011.
