Carpool At Central Elementary
Central Campus Carpool
The safety of our students is our #1 priority. Please help us keep them safe! Be courteous to other drivers and to the paraprofessionals who are assisting the students. Please refer to the Carpool Map as you read through the directions.
-
Safety is our utmost concern during carpool. Please follow all directions of the carpool attendants. In accordance with Colorado law, NO Handheld CELL PHONE use while driving.
-
All Carpool Drivers must enter from Springcrest Road at the first (west) entrance.
-
Drivers needing to park should enter from Springcrest Road at the third (east) entrance.
-
Obey all traffic laws and posted traffic signs; it is an exception when the carpool attendant waves you through.
-
Do not use Mulligan, Springcrest, or the church parking lot/field to park and walk over to TCA; we strive to be good neighbors.
Morning Drop-off

There is no supervision prior to 7:45 am. Please do not leave children unattended or use the carpool line to drop off students prior to 7:45 am.
-
Follow the split carpool flow shown on the map. K-2 drops off in front of the school (east side), and 3-6 drops off in the rear (west side).
-
When you arrive in the unloading area in the morning, please make sure students are ready to exit the car quickly.
-
Students need to be in their seat, ready for the day at 8:15 am.
Afternoon Pick-up

The gate will open at 2:45 pm and you will queue up at 3:00 pm
-
Follow the map directions to queue in the appropriate area. Please let your children know in advance which carpool area you will be utilizing.
- The gate will close at 3:45 pm. All remaining students will be brought to the front office, which closes at 4:00 pm.
- Do not block crosswalks.
- Do not leave your car while parked in the carpool lane.
Parking Parents
-
We highly encourage parents to use the carpool lines rather than parking.
-
If you park, you must meet your child at the end of a crosswalk opposite the school.
-
Students will come to you via the crosswalk with assistance from a paraprofessional.
-
Talk with your child ahead of time regarding where you will meet.
Inclement Weather
During inclement weather when students are at risk by waiting outside for their ride, we will initiate our severe weather carpool procedure. Parents will be notified via text and/or email when this occurs. Please be sure your contact information is up to date in Infinite Campus. Please utilize carpool lines rather than parking. We will hold students in their classrooms until it is safe to release them outside. They will be released one by one and walked to their car. Students who usually walk home and have completed a Central Walker Permission Form will follow parent permission guidelines outlined in the form.
