    WELCOME TO NORTH ELEMENTARY COMPUTERS!

     

    FIFTH and SIXTH GRADE COMPUTER CLASS:

    Computer Class is an extension of the TCA Information Literacy Curriculum. Skills taught and practiced in this class enable students to become information literate as directed by the Colorado State Standards.

    • Students will have computer class twice a week for 30 minutes.
    • 5th grade students will only receive a grade based on their habits in computer class. 
    • Students will be accessing their grades online. Therefore, students need to have an account on Infinite Campus and need to have District 20 Internet User Approval for this class.
    • To assess grades at home go to asd20.org -> Parents/Students ->Infinite Campus Portal Access -> login with student id # and password (first initial, last initial, birth date in 6 digits).
    • 5th grade students will be using a word processing curriculum called Typing Pal. Computer class will also include instruction in computer basics and Internet Safety. Sixth grade students will receive instruction in Microsoft Word

    Please encourage your child to type at home; even 10 minutes a day can make a big difference.

    Instructions to log on are: log on with his/her username and password.  The username is the students ID number and the password is set by the parents/student.
